How does realtime reporting work?

Anne uses a shorthand machine to write down the dialogue, live, as it takes place.  The shorthand machine is linked to a laptop computer. A computer program instantaneously converts the shorthand symbols into text which is then displayed on the computer screen.

Realtime reporting on a computer screen is useful in universities and training courses and where participants are disabled or prefer not to write notes. Text can also be displayed on a large screen with a data projector.

At the end of realtime reporting, an unedited transcript is available on computer media and, within a few days, the edited transcript is available.

No special skills, equipment or training are required of customers
Anne provides all the latest computer aided transcription equipment and expertise. Anne uses the CaseCATalyst computer aided transcription software, which is widely used by court reporters, allowing her to team with other reporters on larger projects.

Transcripts are accurate, correctly spelled and professionally and rapidly prepared. They can be emailed in Microsoft Word, PDF or other formats. Transcripts are competitively priced per hour of attendance time.  A minimum charge of one hour applies to all projects.
